Ortovox Peak II 42 Backpack

Especially on longer tours it's essential to carry properly the load in the pack to relief the strain on the back. Ortovox translated the findings of the sports physicians of the Munich Back Center and jointly developed this backpack, in order to minimize load on the back.

The specially designed hip belt and the ergonomic, S-shaped shoulder belts assure that the load is transferred optimally to the pelvic bones and that the shoulder musculature is relieved.

The "O-FLEX-FRAME" is a 3-D back system that is flexible and can be individually adjusted. Consequently, the backpack perfectly carries to the body without wagging back and forth and offers freedom of movement when descending or climbing. At the same time, it provides optimum ventilation. The main compartment is loaded from the top and is secured with a snow flap with double toggle and compression belt. As is characteristic of ORTOVOX, the spacious compartment on the front panel provides quick access to the avalanche probe and shovel.

The small compartment underneath accommodates the matching ORTOVOX Easy Help Pack for an emergency situation. Both compartments can be opened through waterproof zippers, as are the pocket on the hip belt and the outside top pocket.

The drinking tube line fixes the tube on the shoulder strap and prevents the tube from dangling. The easily adjustable chest strap is equipped with an

emergency signal whistle. The hip belt can be adjusted on both sides. If you don't need the 42 litre volume, you can also easily totally compress it vertically and horizontally.
